Terms & Conditions

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms & conditions on which we supply any of the products (Products) listed on our website (our site) to you.
Please read the terms and conditions carefully before ordering any Products from our site. You (The Customer) should understand that by ordering any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Price and Payment
The price of any product will be quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error.

These prices include VAT and delivery costs (to mainland UK locations.) Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you an order confirmation.

Personalised Items

Once I have received the information required to work on your design, you will be added to my order book and will get started on your design as soon as possible. You will be e-mailed a proof of your design, usually within 4-6 working days however this can take up to 7-10 working days during busy periods. Working days are Mon-Fri only, although I do occasionally work over the weekend to ensure that the lead times are kept to a minimum. If you require an item urgently or by a set date please contact me and I will let you know if I can accommodate your request to ensure that it is received in time.

Please note that occasionally emails containing proofs are blocked by our customer's email provider. All proofs will be emailed directly from to the email address provided on Etsy, it can be helpful to add this email address to your contact list to ensure that it doesn't arrive in your junk/spam email.

If you're in a hurry because it's a gift or you just can't wait for it for printed products, please let us know and we can see whether we can upgrade you to the next working day delivery for UK customers or a courier service for our overseas clients. We will always do our very best to accommodate your requests. However, an extra charge will apply for this service.

Design Proof Change Requests
You are able to have the following changes to your design at no additional charge:
• Colour change(s) to background or word colours.
• Word changes: We understand that after you have placed your order you might realise that you have missed out some wording or have changed your mind about some of the wording. We are happy to add up extra words at no additional charge prior to the proof being approved. After the proof has been approved your design will be printed, if your design has already been printed you will incur a charge for a re-print if additional words are required.

The following changes would incur a £12.49 charge as these would constitute a full re-design:
• Font type change: much time is spent carefully arranging your words to create a well-proportioned design. Changes to the font type affects word spacing and therefore a new design layout is required.
• Asking to see your wording in a different design shape, this would be classed as a new design.

Colour Matching
Please note we will try our best to ensure the closest match possible, however images and designs may vary slightly from the ones viewed on your computer due to your screen settings.

Arty Alphabet can provide printed samples of colour charts, you pay the postage for the sample charts but this charge can be redeemed off your next order. This way you are able to match the colours to your theme.

Gift Vouchers
Gift certificates cannot be used or redeemed anywhere except online via the Arty Alphabet website.

Gift certificates cannot be used or redeemed without the authorised claim code, cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be replaced if they are lost or stolen, cannot be used or redeemed towards previous purchases, cannot be used or redeemed to purchase other gift certificates, cannot be resold, and are not refundable. No cash alternative is available.

Only one certificate code can be used per transaction. If you have more than one code you may place separate orders. Any purchase exceeding the value of a gift certificate code requires the use of a valid credit card to complete the transaction.

Arty Alphabet gift certificate will expire after 12 months from the date of its purchase. At the end of that period, any unused balance on the card will be forfeited.

Delivery of framed prints will be provided by either the Royal Mail or a trusted courier service depending on their size. Orders delivered via courier will require for someone to be present to sign and collect the package. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that someone is available to take delivery and Arty Alphabet cannot be held responsible for any late, lost or unforeseeable event caused by a delivery date not being met. You shall be deemed to have accepted the goods after receiving delivery. It is your responsibility to check the delivery before signing for it and we cannot refund any damaged deliveries that have not been logged by the courier firm at the point of delivery. In order for damaged items to be replaced / refunded a photo of the damaged goods is required.

Risk and Title
The Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery.

Our products are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no event shall our company or its agents be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental or consequential, or other losses arising out of the purchase of our products.

Please note we can not accept returns or offer refunds of personalised items, we will only replace damaged items. 

We will not accept returns without prior agreement and will only accept returns due to damaged goods logged upon receipt and informed to the couriers. When you return a Product to us we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 14 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full, not including postage costs. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

Due to the personalised nature of the products, once a proof has been emailed orders cannot be cancelled or refunded due to the time spent creating the design. We are happy to amend this to ensure you are 100% happy with the design. In the case of cancelling a printed product after the proof has been sent, you will be refunded the difference between the printed option and the cost of the digital file.

For all non personalised items, please contact us and return the item within 14 days and we will refund the price of the Product in full, not including postage costs. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

You are not permitted to copy (whether by printing off onto paper, storing on disk or in any other way), distribute (including distributing copies), alter or tamper with in any way or otherwise use any material contained in this website.
